Big Five in South Africa, iconic Victoria Falls, and Zambia's premier safari camp

This luxury Southern Africa safari itinerary takes in three quintessential destinations famed for epic landscapes and abundant game—all without skimping on style and luxury.

In South Africa, stay on a private concession in Greater Kruger, where day and night drives allow you to spot a range of wildlife, including the Big Five. From here, head to the mighty Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and choose from a range of activities ranging from sedate to adrenaline-fuelled. End your vacation at what's probably the best luxurious lodge in Zambia, where water-based activities are the order of the day here. In addition to boat trips, canoeing, and fishing, enjoy twice-daily game drives or a walking safari.

Luxury off the Beaten Path Safari Safari trip highlights

  • This 10-day luxury southern Africa safari itinerary begins in Johannesburg, South Africa. From here, you’ll take an onward light aircraft flight and transfer to Leopard Hills Lodge in Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, which shares an unfenced border with Kruger National Park. Winding through riverine forest and savanna to spy lion prides, leopard, elephant, impala, greater kudu, giraffe, buffalo, and so much more.
  • Fly to Victoria Falls and transfer to Stanley & Livingstone Boutique Hotel in Zimbabwe. Take a sunset jet boat river safari that explores smaller channels close to Victoria Falls, and opt in for some adventure: a helicopter or microlight flight over the Falls, a walk with a herd of elephants, a canopy tour through the rainforest, or simply a spot of shopping in town.
  • Take a scenic flight to the spectacular Lower Zambezi National Park, where you'll stay at the luxurious Anabezi Camp. Enjoy privately guided morning and night off-road game drives, nature walks, and water-based safari activities that make the most of the camp's location on the Zambezi River, such as canoe trips in the Chifungulo Channel, and catch and release tiger fishing.
  • Return to the airstrip for your flight to Lusaka and onward travel arrangements.
