A portrait of paradise, this Indian Ocean archipelago is ultra-romantic and blissfully secluded
With ancient forests of towering ferns, birds found nowhere else on earth, and luminous coral reefs, Seychelles luxury travel is defined by rarity, beauty, and quiet exclusivity.
These sun-kissed islands invite days that unfold at your pace, whether spent in blissful relaxation or setting out to explore. A captivating blend of Creole, English, and French influences, Seychelles feels at once beach-rustic, colonial, and effortlessly cosmopolitan.
The Seychelles archipelago comprises 115 islands, many of them uninhabited. The three principal islands rise from ancient granite, draped in lush tropical vegetation, while the outlying islands form low-lying coral atolls scattered across turquoise waters. Together, they are sanctuaries for abundant endemic flora and fauna, hemmed by immaculate white-sand beaches and seas alive with marine life.

Home to some of the most breathtaking private beaches in the world, the Seychelles invites images of pirates burying their treasure along its shores—tales drawn from history, not imagination.
An idyllic complement to an East or Southern Africa safari, the Seychelles is easily accessed via direct flights from Nairobi or Johannesburg, with convenient air connections to Europe as well. For the true beachcomber, a voyage through the Indian Ocean’s fabled spice islands—from Madagascar to Mauritius and onward to the Seychelles—makes for an unforgettable coastal odyssey.

Melise & Tripp Revson, 2025 Travelers
Although the Seychelles are a year-round beach destination, the best months to visit are April, May, October, and November. These are transition times between the hot and humid northwest trade winds (November to March) and the cooler southeast trade winds (April through October) which result in calm water and warm sunny days.
Because seasonal trade winds shape conditions across the Seychelles, influencing sea states and even the buildup of seaweed on certain shores, expert guidance makes all the difference. Our experts take care to recommend the right island and accommodation for the time of year and your interests, especially for divers and anglers, as stronger winds and choppier seas between July and September can limit offshore activities.

Escape into the Seychelles’ best island experiences
La Digue is known for its breathtaking, secluded beaches, charming shops and restaurants, and lingering traces of colonial architecture, all set to a wonderfully unhurried pace. Despite being the fourth-largest island in the Seychelles, it is home to just 2,000 residents. Easily reached from Praslin by ferry, boat, or helicopter, La Digue has only a handful of cars, making exploration by bicycle or on foot not just practical, but part of its enduring charm.
