Sala’s Camp is in a remote region of the Maasai Mara National Park, on the Sand River, just at the border with the Tanzania and the Serengeti.

This is quite a remote area, putting Sala’s in the unique position of being able to offer guests exclusivity and privacy within the main Mara reserve. That being said, during peak migration season (July – September), there will be other vehicles around seeking out wildebeest river crossings.

Sala’s is a stylish, luxury tented camp with friendly and wonderfully attentive staff. The canvas tents have all the comforts to be expected, without detracting from the wonders of the Maasai Mara. Each tent is spacious and airy, with en-suite bathrooms complete with flush toilets, hot showers and a hammock outside. The main areas are equally stylish and comfortable. Relax at the bar, around the campfire or perhaps settle on the lawn during the day, napping on a day bed.

This is a luxury camp in a top game-viewing location and works perfectly in a program with other up-market properties in Kenya, including Sasaab in Samburu, Solio in Laikipia and Giraffe Manor in Nairobi.
