Serian Ngare

Serian Ngare is in Kenya‘s Mara North Conservancy, sitting just across a suspension bridge over the Mara River from Serian Camp. This scenic and secluded camp is on the riverbank with views over the lush surroundings.

Smaller and more polished than Serian Camp, Ngare consists of four spacious tents on wooden platforms and are ideal for a honeymoon couple or a family group looking for exclusivity. The tents are huge and beautifully decorated with an outdoor bathing area, flush toilets, and hot water for shower or tub. Your tent is lit by softly glowing kerosene lanterns, but there are also lights and electricity for re-charging batteries in the tents. The tents overlook the river and the active hippos make this a unique (and sometimes noisy!) experience.

Day and night game drives, game walks, fishing, and photography workshops are provided by highly experienced guides.

Serian Ngare offers everything we love about Serian Camp and Serian Nkorombo: excellent guiding, the intimate experience, exclusive-use vehicles—with just a bit more luxury and polish. In fact, we count it among the best luxury safari camps in Kenya. However, the only way to access the camp is by crossing the suspension bridge, which may be off-putting for some guests.
