Kicheche Valley Camp
Located in a beautiful, secluded valley on the Eastern side of the 120,000 acre Mara Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya, Kicheche Valley offers spectacular game viewing. The location is close to both the Enniskeria river region – with its stunning granite outcrops and permanent pools popular with the resident wildlife – and the vast plains to the north – hosting large numbers of plains game and containing a vital elephant corridor. For those interested in Kenya’s unique culture, trips to the local Maasai villages are on offer. It is also possible to visit Talek Town or a number of projects supported by their Community Trust.
The camp is a classic, intimate, luxury bush camp, completely unfenced, accommodating 12 guests, all under canvas. The spacious, fully insect-proof style tents (six twins/doubles) are equipped with cedar beds, linen, bedside tables, luggage racks, rugs and electrical outlets. Bathrooms are en-suite and are equipped with a dresser, shower and flushing toilet and running water. Family suites (1 double & 2 singles) are available on request.
With strict controls on bed and vehicle numbers in this community-driven conservation area, a high quality wilderness experience is assured year-round. Kicheche Valley is similar in feel to the other Kicheche properties, noted for their down to earth comfort and emphasis on serious photography, but this one is a little bit more luxurious. The complimentary massage in the spa makes this the perfect place for those who want to feel like they are out in the bush in a tented camp, but without compromising too many amenities.
