Little Governors’ Camp
Little Governors’ Camp, Little Governors’, situated inside the Maasai Mara, is a smaller, more intimate version of Governors’ Camp.
Compared to the main Governors’ Camp we prefer Little Governors’ smaller size and more secluded location. Little Governors’ is located around a vibrant watering hole and the en-suite tents are quiet, well-appointed and have their own wooden decks where you can watch for game. It is common to have elephants wandering through Little Governors’ Camp, and the resident warthogs make themselves quite at home.
Breakfast and lunch are served outdoors to make the most of the lovely setting, and dinner is enjoyed in the dining room, usually after a pre-dinner drink at the bar tent.
The main activity at Little Governors’ is game drives. It is also possible to do a walking safari in a nearby area just outside the main reserve and the camp is perfectly situated for those who want to take a hot air balloon ride.
One downside of all the Governors’ camps is that, although they make serious efforts to mitigate the effects on clients, vehicle traffic is an issue because the area is home to all four Governors’ properties, including Little Governors’.
