Saruni Samburu, located in Kenya‘s Kalama Community Conservancy, next to the Samburu National Park, is all about the views. Built into the rocky hillside in a remote area, wild land, and animals are abundant for as far as the eye can see.
Saruni Samburu’s six rooms are private and very well-appointed. They are open-facing with breathtaking views that can be appreciated from your bed. We particularly recommend booking room five for its views in two different directions, bedroom looks over Mount Kenya and and the living area towards the bush. The accommodation feels genuinely African with enough modern touches to keep the feeling light and focused on the views.
There are two infinity pools boasting panoramic views in different directions, and sundowners on a rocky outcrop are a real treat.
Delicious Italian-style meals are served in the dining area, but for those looking for extra privacy, meals can be catered in your room. Game drives in both the totally private Kalama Conservancy, Buffalo Springs (shared with Sasaab) and Samburu National Park with expert Samburu guides. Bush walks and cultural visits with the local Samburu community are all part of a stay at this very special place.
We love Saruni Samburu for its incredible panoramas, the game-viewing, and the warm staff interaction—in fact, we consider it one of the best luxury safari lodges in Kenya.
