La Villa des Orangers
La Villa des Orangers is a charming Relais & Châteaux property with 27 rooms and suites. It is a gorgeous little riad that was built in the 1930s as a private home and repurposed in 1998 as a luxury hotel. It feels fresh and tasteful. The boutique hotel is very well-managed and the orange trees in the garden give it a nice touch. The swimming pool is fabulous. You will wish you could just hang out there all day. There is a two bedroom riad – great for families. The location is a little tucked away but once you are inside it is absolutely magical!
La Villa des Orangers is close to Jemaâ El Fna square, which is one of our favorite places to visit on our own. Unlike Fez, you don’t need a guide to explore the medina and surrounding areas. Located near Jemaâ El Fna, the Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakesh and a landmark structure worth a visit. After a day of exploring the city, enjoy unobstructed views of the Atlas Mountains from the rooves and gardens or relax at one of the three lounges all outfitted with a fireplace, creating a warm, friendly atmosphere, a great place to relax in a tranquil setting.
