Pearl Jurist-Schoen

Pearl Jurist-Schoen first caught the Africa travel bug in Kenya’s famed Maasai Mara. Then, in Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, she became interested in wildlife conservation efforts. In South Africa’s Kruger National Park she was blown away by the incredible game concentrations and she had a meditative experience in the remote walking zones of the Serengeti. She is passionate about travel both inside and outside of Africa. She’s a long-time Extraordinary Journeys employee, who has been with us for eight years.

Pearl is a Boston, Massachusetts native who studied Anthropology and completed fieldwork in Tasmania and Barbados. She returned to Tasmania to play Gaelic football, run a half-marathon on Mt. Wellington and work at the University of Tasmania.
