Charlotte Pope

Trip Coordinator

Nomadic | Adventurous | Bespoke

From a young age, Charlotte has always loved to travel. It started while she spent her summers flying as an ‘unaccompanied minor’ from Boston to North Carolina to spend time with her grandparents. Exploring new places has always excited her. In college, she spent a semester abroad on Semester at Sea through Asia and Africa where her love for the world grew even more. After graduation she taught English abroad for a year in Thailand to elementary students (with her friend and EJ co-worker Amelia)!

Her wanderlust continued with three years of leading trips with an active travel company. She spent her summers guiding biking and hiking trips in Jackson, WY, and Kenai, AK, and spent her falls in Stowe, VT. After many years in the travel industry, Charlotte was eager to find a job behind the scenes planning trips for others. Extraordinary Journeys was the perfect fit. Her teammates describe her as gracious, warm, resourceful, and spontaneous.

To this day, she has visited 40 countries, with a few of her favorite places being New Zealand, Vietnam, South Africa, Colombia, and Germany! On her off time, some of her favorite things to do are hiking in the mountains, playing pickleball with friends, visiting family in the Pacific Northwest, cooking for friends, trying new hoppy brews, and skiing the many epic mountains of the world!

I would describe my travel style as adventurous and genuine. I love experiencing new cultures in an authentic way with my family and friends. I really enjoy trying local foods, whether on a food tour or through a cooking class, as well as getting outside and seeing the landscape through hiking, biking, or any water activity.

My Greatest Adventure

My greatest travel adventure was when I traveled to Australia and New Zealand for two months in 2019. I traveled along the Eastern Coast of Australia and within the South Island of New Zealand. The beaches and the mountains were unlike any other place I have been to before!

My Favorite Destinations

My favorite place that I’ve traveled to was my most recent trip to the Masaai Mara in Kenya. Not only were the people incredibly welcoming and friendly, but the landscape and wildlife blew me away! The open savannah mixed with the tall Acacia trees is a sight I won’t soon forget.
