Styled as a modern white farmhouse, The Weinberg is a manicured city hotel situated in the suburb of Klein Windhoek. Most luxury Namibia travel starts and ends in the capital, and we like to overnight travelers here before a safari itinerary calling on places like Etosha National Park, the Skeleton Coast, Sossusvlei, or Damaraland.  

The heart of The Weinberg Windhoek is a courtyard terrace with a water feature, around which, lounge spaces shaded by white-and-black striped cantilever umbrellas invite you to sit and linger.  

A portion of the hotel’s suites overlook the courtyard from small wrought iron balconies. A handful of room types accommodate most travelers. Notably, three Oasis Rooms and seven Family Lofts handily fit small groups across two storeys. The two-bedroom Terrace Suite is the most generous and upgraded space, offering a dedicated study, dining room table, and private balcony. Design elements like leather sofas, upholstered headboards, barn doors, subway tile, and batten board give The Weinberg Windhoek a trendy, if not familiar, aesthetic.  

Venture upstairs to reach the Sky Lounge, a rooftop bar with expansive views of Windhoek. Shady pergolas, Edison bulb lighting, and striped umbrellas make it an inviting space to snack and sip cocktails. Downstairs, a handsome lounge, a well-equipped fitness center, and a breakfast area that feels more like a living room than a café round out The Weinberg Windhoek’s communal spaces.  

What’s more, several restaurants and Soulstace Day Spa also occupy space on the Am Weinberg Estate grounds, and together they make up the village-within-a-hotel feel.
