The Elephant Camp is a gorgeous camp located about 20 minutes from downtown Victoria Falls. The 12 tented suites are stunning, spacious and private with indoor and outdoor showers, and plunge pools. The décor is tasteful and the views out over the Batoka Gorge and the Zambezi River from the private verandahs are beautiful (Suite 12’s views are the best!). The service is great and the food is delicious, served a la carte at private tables. Don’t forget to try their pink gin and tonic!

Elephant Camp is not within walking distance to Victoria Falls which makes it difficult to visit if you’re only staying for one night. If you’re staying for longer, going downtown, seeing the Falls, and organizing activities is easy. Elephant interactions and visiting the famous cheetah, Sylvester, are great experiences that are unique to Elephant Camp.

In this area you can do all sorts of activities from a relaxing canoe ride on the river to a peaceful sunset cruise, or get your heart racing with an exciting elephant back experience or bungee jumping! And if you want to see the falls from an incredibly breathtaking perspective, try a microlight or helicopter ride.

Elephant Camp is best used for guests wanting to stay in the Victoria Falls area for 2+ days. It’s similar to Gorges Lodge in that regard, but higher end. It’s ideal for guests returning from safari and want an intimate and relaxed property where you can be content spending hours on the porch just relaxing and enjoying the views.
