Ghoha Hills

Situated on a hill in the Chobe National Park’s Savute region, this beautiful camp offers good value for money in a reliable game-viewing area.

Stylishly decorated in natural colors, the rooms and main areas have stunning views of the waterholes and plains that are home to Savute’s abundant of game. The property was designed to take full advantage of the panoramic view over the plains and out towards the distant Mababe Depression. We just love the showers which make you feel that your room is clinging to the edge of a cliff.

Activities include game drives in the area surrounding Ghoha Hills. The lodge is a more than an hour drive from the Savute Marsh, a focal point of this area. However, a full-day excursion to the Savute Marsh with a picnic lunch means you can still explore the game-rich marsh and Ghoha Hills’ remote location has its benefits in terms of avoiding other travelers and vehicles.

We particularly like May to September for visiting the Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge and find that October and November can be quite hot.

Ghoha Hills provides a more intimate experience than some other Savute and Chobe properties and the lodge’s elevation is a rarity in this area and provides a great vantage point. We like to combine this lodge with Ngoma Safari Lodge, Motswiri, Machaba, Kanana, &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp.
