1
Jakarta
Touch down in Jakarta to kick off your Indonesia travel adventure. A guide awaits you at the airport and will bring you to Anara Airport Hotel. Eat, shower, and sleep off your long flight.
2 to 3
Borneo
Catch a brief flight to the island of Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo) and board Kumai, your private-chartered klotok riverboat that will take you up the backwater channels of Tanjung Puting National Park. Assured orangutan sightings take place during visits to rehabilitation centers and at iconic Camp Leakey (where senior orangutans are reintroduced to the wild). Otherwise, keep eyes fixed to the sublime rainforest that skirts the tawny-brown Sekonyer River and labyrinth of black water canals. On terra firma, set off on guided treks through forest that shelters civets, Malaysian sun bears, and elusive clouded leopards.
4 to 5
Jimbaran
Depart Borneo, flying to Denpasar on the island of Bali. A private guide transfers you to Raffles Bali. These two days are unabashedly dedicated to relaxation and recreation in luxury before your next big adventure. Staying in a private pool villa, your time here is unscheduled; be as idle or as adventurous as you like.
6 to 9
Wakatobi
Fly to Wakatobi where you will spend four nights in an ocean-facing, two-bedroom villa at Wakatobi Dive Resort.
Warm waters, excellent visibility, reef vitality, and impressive biodiversity make Wakatobi one of world’s best places to dive and snorkel. Coral reefs here are like botanical gardens, textured and technicolor. Imagine fluted giant clams, swaying anemone, and Christmas tree tubeworms. Marine life is just as sublime. Spot the likes of butterfly fish, angelfish, parrotfish, clown fish, and feather stars flitting among the coral. Between excursions, dine in breezy outdoor settings, take relaxing massages, and watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand at the jetty bar.
10
Tegalalang
After one last dive in Wakatobi, fly back to Bali and meet your private guide for the scenic drive north to Ubud. Settle in for three unforgettable nights at Capella Ubud, a jungle hideaway nestled between rainforest, rice paddy fields, and the sacred Wos River. Your group will stay in side-by-side rainforest tents, each with its own private pool and a setting that feels straight out of a dream.
11
Tegalalang
Set off by bike today, cycling scenic backroads leading through terraced rice fields and emerald greenery. Stop at a local home for a glimpse of daily life before visiting the Sangeh Monkey Forest, where macaques wander among ancient temples. In the afternoon, join Dewa and Jero at their home in the village of Keliki for a hands-on Balinese cooking class, ending with a delicious meal shared family-style.
12
Tegalalang
Travel about an hour to Bakas Village, where your local guide, Little Wayan, welcomes you with Balinese delicacies at a traditional warung (a small family-run shop serving authentic local fare). Stroll through rice fields and farms, pausing for fresh coconut juice before visiting Wayan’s family compound. Join villagers in kite-making, gamelan music, and dance, then end the day with a temple blessing ceremony before returning to your hotel.
