Tabanan, Bali
We haven’t scheduled anything for the morning of day two so you can gently acclimate to island time. Enjoy the amenities of this luxury resort, nourish, and then set out in the early evening for a scenic sunset bike trip. Wind through charming local villages, imbibing the tranquil beauty of rural Bali. Watch the sun set from an isolated black sand beach.

Tabanan, Bali
In the morning, your private guide fetches you. Arrive at an eco-village where bamboo innovations are shaping the future of sustainable living. During this hands-on experience, your family will learn how the natural material is transforming homes, furniture, and livelihoods. It’s an inspiring way for the kids to observe how creative thinking can lead to planet-forward, green solutions. The rest of the day is at leisure.
4
Flores Island
A guide will collect your family for your short, direct flight to Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores, the gateway to Komodo National Park. Upon arrival, transfer directly to the harbor to board Samara I, your private charter boat for a memorable four-day, three-night sailing adventure. Settle in on deck as you glide across turquoise waters, with time to swim and relax before anchoring for the evening. Your crew turns in early tonight, with sea adventures on the horizon.
5
Komodo National Park
Wake to the gentle sounds of the sea and breakfast on deck as Samara I cruises toward your first destination, Kelor Island, where you can snorkel in gin-clear shallows. Then, continue to Rinca Island for your first thrilling encounter with Komodo dragons. As evening falls, drop anchor at Kalong Island where mom and dad can sip a sunset cocktail while thousands of bats take flight from their mangrove nests for their nightly hunt.
6
Komodo National Park
Set sail for Padar Island while enjoying breakfast at sea. Depart Samara I to hike to a scenic viewpoint that looks upon a trio of breathtaking crescent beaches. Return to the boat for lunch while cruising to Pink Beach. Once there, don a mask for some marine-rich snorkeling or simply lay out on rose-tinted sands. In the afternoon, arrive at Komodo Island for more thrilling time in the company of the namesake dragons. You might also spy Timor deer, buffalo, and other wildlife.
7
Komodo National Park
Another full day of adventure at sea awaits. After breakfast, head to Manta Point for a snorkeling encounter with regal rays and other bold-hued marine life. Afterward, cruise to Gili Lawa Island, an uninhabited and tranquil island in northern Komodo National Park. A gentle hike leads to stunning views of crescent sand beaches, technicolor ocean blues, and Sangeang Volcano.
8
Sidemen, Bali
Opt to sleep in or return to the same viewpoint for a scenic sunrise. After breakfast at sea, you’ll arrive back at the harbor. A private transfer brings you to the airport for a short return flight to Bali. Touch down and be collected by a guide for a transfer to Wapa Di Ume Sidemen in rural East Bali. The rest of your day is at leisure, but we dare your kids to resist the two-story pool.

Alongside a guide, experience Bali in the most playful way: a treasure hunt. Designed for kids ages five to 12, this engaging tour takes place in picturesque Sukahet Sari village. Decipher clues to reveal hidden treasures and participate in activities and games that will introduce you to Balinese culture and Hindu traditions. The experience wraps up with a scenic buffet lunch of Balinese dishes.

Sidemen, Bali
Get a (literal) taste of what Bali was like before it topped bucket lists. Set off on foot for a one-hour stroll through the scenic Sidemen Valley, passing farms, interacting with local farmers, and inspecting ingredients that are central to Balinese culinary traditions. Next, prepare local Balinese specialties using wood-fired ovens. You’ll learn your name in Balinese Sanskrit, then write it on dried palm leaves which were historically used as manuscripts (called lontar). Mom and dad, there’s an opportunity for you to sample locally distilled spirits.

Sidemen, Bali
Your final day in Bali is a thrilling one. A guide collects you in the morning and transfers you to a base camp in the Mount Agung foothills. Experienced guides outfit your family with equipment and paddles for an adventurous rafting experience along the Telaga Waja River. As you journey, navigate overhead obstacles and narrow gorges while enjoying stunning vistas of terraced rice fields. Anticipation builds for the final obstacle: the water dam. Brace yourself, take a deep breath, and descend!
