Vientiane

Day 1: Arrival in Laos

Arrive to a VIP airport welcome and fast-track service before settling into your spacious Presidential Suite at Soupphatra Hotel. With two bedrooms, two baths, and a garden-view pool, it’s a perfect place to unwind after your flight.

Day 2: Cycling the Capital

Begin your day with a guided bicycle tour of Vientiane’s cultural and historical highlights, starting with Wat Sisaket (the only structure to survive the Siamese invasion of 1828 intact).  Visit the revered Wat That Luang—the most sacred structure in Laos—and Wat Si Muang, where locals come to make wishes. After lunch, head to Xieng Khouan (Buddha Park) to explore its surreal sculptures, created by a renegade monk who founded his own sect here.

Vang Vieng

Day 3: River Kayaking Adventure

Meet your guide for a short drive north to Vang Vieng, then set out for a scenic kayaking adventure along the Nam Song River. Paddle downstream to explore Tham None (Sleeping Cave), which served as a shelter for villagers during the Second Indochina War. Today, it’s home to a large family bats and the famed “Magic Stone” of Vang Vieng. End the day with a gentle return paddle to Vang Vieng, arriving in time for sunset.

Day 4: Village Life

Begin your day with a visit to Vang Vieng’s lively Morning Market, where locals buy fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat. Next, head north to a traditional Hmong village (Ban Pha Thao) and Khmu village, where you’ll join a local family for a Khmu-style lunch in their garden. Join your guide on a walk through rice paddies and pass farmers at work, learning about the importance of agriculture in Laos. Stop at a local rice hut, where mom and dad can sample rice wine.

Luang Prabang

Day 5: Lao Legends

This morning, board the high-speed train from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city and one of Asia’s most enchanting destinations. Join locals along the Mekong River for a friendly game of pétanque over drinks as the sun sets. Later, experience a captivating storytelling performance accompanied by live Khene (a handmade bamboo mouth organ), where local artists share traditional Lao legends and folktales that bring Luang Prabang’s history to life.

Day 6: Elephants and Traditions

Head to the village of Xieng Lom for a day with elephants, where your guide will share insights about elephant behavior and ethical interactions with these gentle giants. Walk through the forest along the Huay Nok stream, where you may witness the elephants joyfully playing in the water.

In the evening, take part in a private Baci blessing ceremony and visit a secluded temple for meditation and chanting with monks, a deeply spiritual and memorable experience.

Luang Prabang

Day 7: Flavors of Laos

Begin your day at a local market in Luang Prabang, where your chef and host for the day, Mrs. Noy, introduces the staple ingredients of Lao cuisine. Then board a boat to cross the Mekong River, where you’ll be welcomed to Mrs. Noy’s home for a hands-on cooking class preparing local Lao specialties. Continue your cruise downstream and visit riverside villages where locals produce famous river weed snacks, rice crackers, and other signature Lao treats.

Day 8: Welcome to Cambodia

Head to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, the gateway to the magnificent temples of Angkor and a vibrant center of Cambodian culture and cuisine. Check in to your 2-bedroom villa at Templation, a quiet and comfortable hideaway near the temples, and enjoy a leisurely afternoon at your private pool.

Day 9: Ankgor Wat Bicycle Tour

Set out on a private guided cycling tour through the Angkor temples, exploring Cambodia’s most iconic landmarks along quiet, uncrowded back trails. Visit Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm (famously featured in Tomb Raider), Bayon, and the Elephant Terrace, along with a few lesser-known temples off the main routes. Enjoy a leisurely 30 km ride on flat terrain with plenty of stops for photos, exploration, and refreshing breaks along the way.

Siem Reap

Day 10: Sacred Temples

Another day of temple exploration awaits. Join your private guide for a short drive to Kbal Spean, known as the “River of a Thousand Lingas” due to the intricate carvings of Hindu deities that adorn the riverbed deep in the jungle. Trek through the jungle to Banteay Srei, famed for its pink sandstone beauty, then explore Preah Dak, Takeo Temple, and tranquil Banteay Samre before returning to Siem Reap to relax for the evening.

Day 13: Life on the River

Experience the charm of daily life in Tra Nhieu, a tranquil fishing village near Hoi An. Join a local fisherman and try your hand at catching fish and shrimp on the river, then board a round basket boat and paddle through peaceful waterways. Back on land, visit village homes to learn about small-scale farming and share a home-cooked Vietnamese lunch with your hosts, ending with freshly brewed coffee or tea.

Day 14: Vietnam by Train

Head to the train station this morning to board The Vietage by Anantara, a luxurious train offering a scenic six-hour journey through Vietnam’s central coast. Enjoy gourmet dining, fine wine, and stunning landscapes from the comfort of your elegant carriage. Upon arrival at Quy Nhon train station, your driver will transfer you to your two-bedroom beachfront pool villa at Zannier Bai San Ho.

Days 15 to 16: Beach Time
