Peru: Andean and Incan Adventure
A Peru hiking trip along the epic Salkantay Trek
In Andean belief, Titicaca is the birthplace of the sun. Set between Peru and Bolivia, the lake is the largest on the Peru side. Access to Lake Titicaca is easy via plane, but our favorite mode of travel is by train. Take a full day or overnight ride through the countryside of Peru, arriving in Puno in time to reach your hotel for a delicious dinner and sunset. We suggest visiting from April to October, when the days will be dry and sunny.

A visit to Lake Titicaca puts you within easy reach of many other beautiful and fascinating parts of South America.

Located in the Andes mountains near Cusco, the Sacred Valley holds great historical and cultural significance as it was once the heartland of the Inca Empire, and lies beneath the world-famous site of Machu Picchu.

Perched within a misty, orchid-filled tropical forest high in the Andes Mountains of Peru, Machu Picchu is one of the most alluring archaeological sites in the world.

A vast natural wonder visible from space, the Amazon Delta needs no introduction. Shared by eight countries, Brazil claims the lion’s share and contains pockets so remote they’ve never been explored.

A braid of 250 waterfalls plummeting over towering basalt cliffs, Iguazú Falls is one of South America’s most breathtaking natural landmarks.
