Murchison Falls – Bespoke Uganda Safari Itineraries

Murchison Falls is the largest park in Uganda and home to its namesake, the impressive Murchison Falls – part of the mighty Nile River.

Murchison Falls provides travelers to Uganda with a classic savanna game-viewing experience with chances to spot lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and a huge variety of antelope. It's one of the only Ugandan parks with giraffe (the other is Kidepo Valley). Impressively, the Uganda Conservation Foundation and Uganda Wildlife Authority are working together to protect the critically endangered Rothschild/Nubian giraffe that live here.

Why visit Murchison Falls National Park?

In the southern sector of the park, the Budongo Forest is inhabited by chimpanzees, although the sightings are not as regular as other Ugandan parks (we prefer Kibale Forest).

During a safari at Murchison Falls, you can enjoy traditional game drives, as well as various styles of boat trips – a launch trip to the base of the Falls, a boat safari down the Victorian Nile to see the wildlife along the Delta, leisurely sunset cruises, and fishing. You can also drive to the top of the Falls for stunning views and excellent photo opportunities.
