The places that pull us back

Explore our team’s favorite destinations. Not the entire map, but a handful of places we love returning to.

A tall waterfall drops through thick green jungle into a misty pool in Laos's Bolaven Plateau.

4000 Islands and Bolaven Plateau

Savor a slower pace in southern Laos. Visit a plantation where you can enjoy a freshly roasted cup of coffee, swim under waterfalls, and laze away an afternoon in a hammock on one of the many islets that dot this part of the Mekong River in the dry season.

Luang Prabang

Luang Prabang is a vibrant town steeped in tradition cradled by the green mountains of northern Laos, and often considered an essential part of Laos travel.

A flat green river valley is framed by dramatic karst limestone peaks in Vang Vieng, Laos.

Vang Vieng

Once a backpacker haven, this scenic town on the banks of the Nam Song, or Song River, has reimagined itself as Laos’ outdoor adventure epicenter.

Vientiane

The capital city of Laos is quiet and laid-back, marked by golden temples, riverside markets, and a complex history.
