Quirimbas Archipelago Travel

The Quirimbas Archipelago consists of a magnificent chain of over 25 coral islands in Northern Mozambique.

Dubbed the ‘African Caribbean’, the region is an idyllic eco-tourism destination with accommodation offered in both luxurious lodges and more rustic beachfront huts. Our favorite properties in the Quirimbas are Vamizi and Azura Quilalea, both of which epitomize barefoot luxury. We also like Ibo Island Lodge as a lower priced option on Ibo Island, a World Heritage Site with an eclectic wealth of exquisite ancient architecture. For a completely different experience, you might consider a multi-night trip on Ibo Island Lodge’s dhow boat to island hop around the Quirimbas.
