1. Sponsor
This sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is sponsored and administered by Extraordinary Journeys, 700 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Suite 2000, Washington DC, 20003 ("Sponsor" or "Extraordinary Journeys"). This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform on which it may be promoted.
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and have previously traveled on a trip booked through Extraordinary Journeys ("Participants"). Eligibility extends to all travelers on a qualifying trip as reflected in Extraordinary Journeys' records, not solely the booking contact. Individuals who have not traveled with Extraordinary Journeys are not eligible to participate. Employees of Extraordinary Journeys and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible. Travel advisors or any other individuals who receive a commission, referral fee, or other financial benefit for booking clients with Extraordinary Journeys are not eligible to participate.
3. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes opens on August 1, 2026 at 12:00am ET and closes on May 1, 2027 at 11:59pm ET (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period to be valid.
4. How to Enter
Eligible Participants may earn entries through the following actions during the Sweepstakes Period:
- 10 entries when a referred contact books a qualifying trip with Extraordinary Journeys during the Sweepstakes Period. A booking qualifies when the confirmation is received and deposit is paid, and when it meets the same minimums as Extraordinary Journeys' referral credit program (land services of at least $5,000 per person with a minimum of two guests, or $10,000 for a single guest, excluding airfare, cruises, car rental, and travel insurance). A referred booking must be independent of travel with the referring Participant; contacts joining the Participant's own trip do not qualify.
- 2 entries when a referred contact completes an initial consultation with an Extraordinary Journeys planner regarding a genuine prospective trip to a destination Extraordinary Journeys serves, with a realistic travel party and timeframe, and identifies the Participant by name as their referrer at first contact. Whether an inquiry qualifies is determined by Extraordinary Journeys in its sole discretion, and entries are credited only upon that determination. Entries under this tier are limited to a maximum of five (5) referred contacts per Participant.
- 1 entry when a Participant requests the Extraordinary Journeys magazine on behalf of a friend or family member who has not previously received it, submitted through the request form at extraordinaryjourneys.com/thegiftoftravel. Magazine entries are limited to a maximum of five (5) per Participant for the Sweepstakes Period. Each recipient address is validated before an entry is credited. Requests are limited to one per recipient household. Entries are credited when the magazine ships; entries associated with undeliverable addresses will be voided.
- Free entry (AMOE): Eligible Participants may receive one (1) entry without taking any of the actions above by mailing a handwritten card with their name, address, email, and the phrase "Gift of Travel Entry" to the Sponsor's address in Section 1. Limit one (1) free entry per Participant for the Sweepstakes Period.
Cumulative entries. Entry tiers are cumulative per referred contact. If a referred contact progresses through multiple qualifying stages during the Sweepstakes Period (for example, a magazine request followed by a qualified inquiry followed by a booking), the Participant earns the entries for each stage as it occurs, up to a maximum of thirteen (13) entries per referred contact.
Verification and crediting. Extraordinary Journeys will verify all qualifying referrals and entries. Entries are credited at Extraordinary Journeys' sole discretion. To qualify, a referred contact must identify the referring Participant by name at the time of their first contact with Extraordinary Journeys; referral credit cannot be established retroactively. Referred contacts must be individuals who are not already active or past clients of Extraordinary Journeys, must not reside in the same household as the referring Participant, and may generate entries for only one Participant. Where more than one Participant claims the same referred contact, the first verified referral prevails. Entries are non-transferable.
Magazine recipient information. By submitting a magazine request on behalf of another person, the Participant represents that they have that person's permission to share their name and mailing address with Extraordinary Journeys. Recipients may opt out of future mailings at any time.
Relationship to the referral credit program. Entries earned in this Sweepstakes are in addition to, and do not replace, any credit a Participant may earn under Extraordinary Journeys' referral program (extraordinaryjourneys.com/extraordinary-journeys-client-referral-program). Both are earned on the same qualifying referral and credited together.
5. Prize
One (1) prize will be awarded: a nine-day, eight-night safari for two to Botswana's Okavango Delta. The first four nights will be spent at a Wilderness Safaris classic-level camp in the Okavango Delta, selected based on availability and the winner's travel dates, followed by two nights at Great Plains' Okavango Explorers Camp and two nights at Sitatunga Private Island.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $25,000. The actual value may vary based on travel dates and camp selection. Any difference between the ARV and the actual value will not be awarded.

6. Prize Conditions
The prize has no cash value and may not be substituted, except at Sponsor's discretion as provided in Section 9. Travel must be completed within one of the following windows: November 1 through December 15, 2027, or January 11 through April 30, 2028. Travel dates are subject to camp and ground operator availability within those windows, and must be confirmed with Extraordinary Journeys. The winner is responsible for obtaining all required travel documents, including a valid passport and any applicable visas. Extraordinary Journeys recommends that the winner obtain travel insurance and medical evacuation coverage prior to departure. The winner may extend or supplement the prize itinerary at their own expense, subject to availability. Extraordinary Journeys is happy to assist with arrangements.
Transfer and resale. The prize may not be sold, auctioned, bartered, raffled, or exchanged for anything of value, and any attempted sale or exchange for value voids the prize. The winner may request to transfer the prize as a gift to a designated recipient, subject to Extraordinary Journeys' prior written approval. Any approved recipient must be 18 years of age or older, must satisfy all prize conditions including the travel windows and required documents, and must execute the releases described in Section 7 and accept the publicity obligations described in Section 8. Tax responsibility for the prize remains with the winner regardless of any approved transfer.
Taxes. The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize.
7. Winner Selection
One winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries on or around May 15, 2027. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by email within 5 days of the drawing and must respond within 30 days to claim the prize. Before the prize is confirmed, the winner must execute an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and, except where prohibited by law, a publicity release. If the winner cannot be reached using the contact information provided at the time of entry, including due to an invalid or non-functioning email address, or fails to respond within 30 days of notification for any reason, or fails to execute the required documents, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries, at Extraordinary Journeys' sole discretion.
8. Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable post-trip promotional activities on behalf of Extraordinary Journeys, including a short interview or written Q&A and trip photographs to be shared within 60 days of returning, for use across Extraordinary Journeys' marketing channels, including social media, email, and print publications. The winner also consents to Extraordinary Journeys' use of their name, general likeness, and any content they provide, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Extraordinary Journeys will not publish the winner's full name without prior approval.
9. Limitations of Liability
Extraordinary Journeys is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries. Extraordinary Journeys reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failure, or other factors compromise its integrity, and to disqualify any Participant who tampers with the entry process, submits false or fraudulent referral or entry information, or otherwise violates these Official Rules. All decisions made by Extraordinary Journeys regarding this Sweepstakes are final. Extraordinary Journeys shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these rules, or any delay in the Sweepstakes timeline, prize fulfillment, or travel arrangements, caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemic or public health emergency, civil unrest, war, terrorism, government action, transportation disruption, or failure of third-party suppliers, ground operators, or camps. In such cases, Extraordinary Journeys may modify the prize travel window, substitute comparable accommodations, or take other reasonable action to fulfill the spirit of the prize, subject to supplier availability and the validity periods of participating camps and operators.
10. Winners List
The name of the winner may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Sponsor's address in Section 1 within 60 days after the drawing.
11. Governing Law
This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. It is void where prohibited.
