It is a pretty, small city, with 325,000 inhabitants situated in a valley and combines the architecture of a modern city with its German colonial heritage. One of the most remarkable features of Windhoek is the mountainous and hilly landscape that encircles the city. Standing 5,428 ft. above sea level, these peaks create breathtaking views.
