On another day, embark on a becak tour to dive into the city’s history and culture, visiting the Kraton Palace, a walled royal complex once home to Yogyakarta’s sultans, as well as wayang kulit (shadow puppet) and batik workshops, where you’ll witness the meticulous craftsmanship behind these traditional Javanese art forms.
