COVID-19 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR TANZANIA:

Fully vaccinated travelers (at least 2 doses/or 1 dose J&J) do not need to present PCR test results on arrival, and are not required to undergo rapid testing at the airport. Vaccination certificates must be presented on arrival.

Unvaccinated travelers must have proof of a negative RT-PCR or NAAT test result (with QR code) conducted within 72 hours of departure.

Please note that the Tanzania health surveillance form (above) is currently under maintenance and until further notice cannot be completed. Please carry the printed notice from the Ministry of Health (included with your final documents) to avoid inconvenience should an immigration official ask for the form. (Applicable to mainland arrivals only. Travelers entering via Zanzibar should fill out the form below).

Unvaccinated travelers arriving in mainland Tanzania will be required to undergo a rapid antigen test on arrival if coming from any of the following countries. The testing fee ($10) should be paid for online via the health surveillance form. Should you have any issues submitting payment online, you may pay on arrival. Rapid test on arrival if coming from: Egypt, France, India, Malawi, Republic of the Congo Uganda, United Kingdom, United States of America, Rwanda, and South Africa.

Unvaccinated travelers arriving in Zanzibar will be required to undergo a rapid antigen test on arrival if coming from any of the following countries. The test ($25) should be pre-booked and paid for here. Rapid test on arrival if coming from: Egypt, France, India, Malawi, Republic of the Congo Uganda, United Kingdom, United States of America, Rwanda, and South Africa.

Travelers under age 5 are exempt from Tanzania’s entry requirements.
