Wednesday, June 22nd, 1 p.m. (EST) on Zoom

The coldest, driest, windiest, most remote place on Earth, Antarctica may be the closest travelers will come to setting foot on another planet. At once desolate and beautiful, it’s this landscape of awe-inspiring extremes and staggering contrasts that took hold of Robyn Woodhead and inspired her to found pioneering luxury Antarctica travel company, White Desert

On June 22nd at 1 p.m. EST, we invite you to join us for our next edition of Passports: Exploring Otherworldly Antarctica with White Desert Founder Robyn Woodhead. In this intimate, candid conversation with Robyn, she’ll share what she loves most about Antarctica and why traveling there with White Desert is a singular experience. Not only is a journey to their camps the most luxurious way to see the destination, it’s also one of the most sustainable.

Robyn gives us a look at the out-of-this-world design of their newest camp, shares how they’ve kept White Desert carbon neutral from the start, and also unveils a ground-breaking new sustainability initiative that she’s spearheading to protect this extraordinary place.

About Robyn

White Desert founder Robyn Woodhead’s love of travel was sparked at the age of six when her family embarked on a year-long, around-the-world trip. Since then, she’s travelled to over 90 countries, including her inaugural trip to Antarctica in 2004, where she lived solo in a tent, then she went on to ski to the North Pole, becoming the first South African to do so.  It was on that trip that she was inspired to not only found her own sustainable luxury Antarctica Travel Company with her husband, White Desert, but to work to protect this special part of the world for future generations.

Robyn served as chair of the executive committee for the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) from 2021 – 2022, and in a leadership role for responsible and environmental Antarctic tourism on that committee for the last five years.
