During this hour-long webinar, we’ll have an exciting conversation with the Jouberts about some of our shared favorite African destinations—Botswana, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
If you’re interested in conservation in Africa, you already know the Jouberts—famed conservationists, award-winning documentarians, photographers, National Geographic Explorers, and wildlife conservationists who have been filming, researching, and exploring Africa for over 40 years. They also own Great Plains Conservation—which runs some of our favorite camps in Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Kenya.

During this hour-long webinar, we’ll have an intimate conversation with the Jouberts about some of our favorite African destinations. They’ll share their history, favorite destinations, lodges, and activities that support their conservation efforts—from the Selinda Spillway in Botswana’s Okavango Delta to Kenya’s Masai Mara. The duo will be talking about some of Great Plains’ most impactful projects and sharing updates on the recent translocation of over 100 elephants.
About Beverly and Dereck Joubert
The Jouberts are award-winning filmmakers, National Geographic Explorers-at-Large, and wildlife conservationists who have been filming, researching, and exploring Africa for over 40 years. Their mission is to conserve and understand the large predators and other key wildlife species that determine the course of all conservation in Africa. The Jouberts are founders of Rhinos Without Borders, an initiative that has moved 87 rhinos from high poaching areas to safety. They also co-founded the Big Cats Initiative with National Geographic, which currently funds 150 projects in 28 countries. This program has now transitioned to the Great Plains Big Cats Initiative under the Joubert’s leadership and Great Plains Foundation management.
