Calling all wildlife and nature lovers… it’s your last call to be transported to some of Africa’s greatest national parks for an insightful, educational conversation with African Parks’ very own Chloe Flatt and Carli Flemmer on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 12:00 PM EST on Zoom.

During this virtual event, we will have an open, engaging conversation about how travel can be a force for good, focused on community and wildlife conservation with Carli Flemmer, and Chloe Flatt from African Parks. We’ll be chatting about Rwanda’s Akagera National Park and its successful rhino translocation (including rhinos rescued from zoos!) and the extensive hiking and birdwatching activities inside Nyungwe Forest National Park (not to mention trekking to see chimpanzees), as well as Zambia’s Kafue National Park’s unique landscapes, and a very special lioness that’s made history in Liuwa Plains.

We’ll take your questions ahead of time (and, of course, on the spot, if something comes up mid-event) and this team will be prepared to answer them. How long does it take for translocated rhinos to settle into their new environment? What is the community guide training program in Akagera all about? How much of the money that I spend traveling in an African Parks-funded park goes back into the conservation of wildlife and local communities?
