Private glamping on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon

When it's not possible to take a week or two for a longer holiday, the United States is filled with destinations that make for the perfect long weekend. The Grand Canyon is one of the United States most beloved natural treasures, and the ideal destination for a 4-day adventure. America's national parks are notoriously filled with tourists during peak travel months which is why we recommend a private camp to take in the majesty of the canyon away from the crowds. With your camp set on the rim of the canyon, you'll enjoy endless vistas and privately guided experiences to make the most of Arizona's spectacular landscapes.

Highlights

  • Your adventure begins upon arrival when you can choose between a Colorado River float, Cathedral Wash hike, fly fishing on the Colorado River, or scenic drive through Zion National Park. If time allows in the late afternoon, take a 1/2 mile hike to Cape Royal which offers a viewpoint at Angels Window, a natural arch in the canyon where you'll take in the sunset.
  • More remote and less developed than the South Rim, the North Rim attracts far fewer tourists and is well-positioned to be combined with some of the Southwests other stunning parks.
  • Your accommodation for the three nights will be in 150-square-foot custom canvas-walled tents, furnished with queen, twin, or bunk beds, soft down comforters, and bedside tables with lamps. You will have fresh towels, private en-suite toilets, hot showers, a hand washing station, and plenty of shade to comfortably spend your day at camp. Fresh seasonal meals are crafted based on your preferences and dietary restrictions, including warm treats baked in a Dutch Oven over hot coals.
  • Evenings at camp are filled with fun. Take part in specialty games designed to get the whole family involved; test your skills at tomahawk throwing and precision with custom blow dart targets. A telescope will be set up for stargazing with full access to the vast night sky and a crackling campfire will be at the ready for that classic camp experience - s'mores.
  • You will have two full days to fill with privately guided activities. We recommend hikes on either the Widfoss or North Kaibab Trails to explore the Canyon. For avid hikers, the North Kaibab Trail is the least visited and most difficult of the three maintained trails at Grand Canyon National Park. The reward however is great, hikers on this trail will pass through every ecosystem to be found between Canada and Mexico.
  • Enjoy a full day of bike riding on the Rainbow Rim Trail—the only singletrack trail along the entire canyon rim that is open to mountain bikes. Connecting five Grand Canyon observation points, the trail offers not only sweeping views of the Canyon, but boasts unique peeks at specific geologic features as well, including Tapeats Amphitheatre, Steamboat Mountain, Powell Plateau, Mt. Trumble, and Great Thumb Mesas.
