Sayari Camp
Sayari Camp is found in the Northern Serengeti which, although a year-round destination, has the best game-viewing when the Great Migration is passing through during the months of June to October. If you’re lucky, you could even witness herds crossing the Mara River, a true sight to see. When the migration has passed, the resident game-viewing here is still good with great Big 5 sightings and many more, yet with less crowds of tourists.
The 15 spacious and luxurious tents are canvas and wood structures with private decks and baths with views. Décor is modern with oriental influences, clean lines, and beautifully incorporates the vistas to create lovely guest spaces. The style is unique for a safari camp, fitting some guests’ taste better than others. Some have found the bamboo a little strange, but no one has ever doubted the huge bathtub and rain shower.
We also love the library, bar, lounge, fireplace, and especially the infinity pool – the perfect place to view resident game while cooling off. The last time we stayed at Sayari, we were told we couldn’t swim in it because a hippo had spent the night there and they still had to clean it up!
