Tierra Atacama is a luxury property known for its architecture, panoramic views, and peaceful environment. Tierra Atacama’s 32 rooms are large, and most have volcano views. The walk to the main area takes you through lovely gardens. Like the other properties in the Atacama Desert, Tierra has a full range of activities through the desert, both full and half-day.
If you are not feeling particularly active, there is an indoor and outdoor pool, and plenty of spots with sun beds or loungers to relax and read a book. There is also a fabulous spa; it is probably the best property in the area to sit and relax. The food is excellent, and the service is warm and friendly.
Constructed with traditional adobe and red-stained wood, the villas are angular and blend into the landscapes. Tierra drives sustainability measures through the use of renewable energy, protection of natural resources, overseeing waste management and securing a strong relationship with local communities. Tierra Atacama one of the first hotels in South America to produce solar-powered electricity, with a hybrid system that meets the hotel´s daily energy demand.
