The Bay Hotel
The Bay Hotel, is located in the heart of Camps Bay. This hotel is really all about setting and is a great option for those who are interested in the glitzy Camps Bay scene. The backdrop is beautiful with the Twelve Apostle mountain range to one side and the Atlantic Ocean just across the street on the other side, but this hotel is most suited for those who are looking for that kind of vibe. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance and it’s only 15 minutes to the waterfront, making it easy to explore the rest of Cape Town.
The hotel as a whole is quite contemporary and fresh, but some of the rooms look a little tired. The hotel consists of 78 rooms that vary in style. We don’t recommend one of the pool-facing rooms, especially on the lower levels, as the Sandy B pool is open to non-residents and can get quite noisy. However, there are four pools so guests are likely to find refuge somewhere! Other facilities include tennis and squash courts, a gym, and spa so there are plenty of wellness opportunities for those traveling on holiday or business.
We particularly like The Bay Hotel for younger couples or families with kids because there’s so much going on on your doorstep.
