Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Tarangire Sopa Lodge is nestled into the trees and kopjes in Tarangire National Park. The game-viewing in this region of Tarangire is excellent. The reserve is renowned for large herds of elephant, zebras, and wildebeest which gather in masses from June to December during the dry season. Tarangire is also known for its fascinating birdlife, encompassing over 300 species! During the green season of January to May, this area is stunning, draws few visitors, and the game-viewing is still good, even though predators are harder to come by.

Tarangire Sopa Lodge’s prime location is its major selling point; otherwise, we don’t find this property to be particularly special. It is large with somewhat of an impersonal hotel-feel about it. Its 75 rooms are standard and pretty bland. The large dining area, reception rooms and lounges are all enclosed and built up.

Tarangire Sopa Lodge is not the place you would choose for an intimate, romantic safari, but for those with budget restraints, it is a good way to access of one of Tanzania’s top safari destinations.
