Swala Camp

Sanctuary Swala, in the remote western region of the Tarangire National Park, is a tightly run property with comfortable accommodation and good game-viewing. The area’s abundant wildlife can be viewed while on open-vehicle game drives, night drives, walking safaris, or from your private deck at camp. Guests also have the opportunity to visit the Sanctuary Beekeeping project run in conjunction with the local community.

Swala’s spacious canvas tents provide comfortable accommodation and contemporary décor. Thatched main areas include a relaxing lounge and dining areas. A lovely infinity pool provides respite during the midday heat, and sipping a sundowner around the open campfire with fellow guests while listening to birds and nocturnal animals is the perfect way to end your day on safari. We think that Sanctuary did a fabulous job with Swala; it really is one of the few tented camps in Tarangire that has all the modern comforts (such as a plumbed shower).
