Singita Sabora Tented Camp
Singita’s Sabora Plains Tented Camp is situated in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, in the Singita Grumeti Reserve. Although this is a year-round destination, the heavy rain season is April and May, and the migration passes through this region between May and June which makes for the best game-viewing. Given that, the Grumeti has excellent year-round game viewing, even after the migration has passed, which cannot be said for the rest of the Western Corridor.
Sabora’s design is influenced by a past era of exploration, with 9 canvas tents comfortably decorated with Persian rugs, dark wood and leather, and natural hues. Each tent has its own deck overlooking the spectacular Grumeti landscape and a bath with a view. It has quite a different feel and décor themes than other Singita properties, but it keeps to the high standards of quality service, elegance, and fantastic game viewing.
The lodge has a pool and open lounge and viewing deck. Its special touches, such as al fresco dining under lantern-lit trees and excellent guides on your game drives or horseback riding excursions, make this an amazing experience. This is one of our favorite Grumeti lodges.
