Samode Safari Lodge
Samode Safari Lodge, is located at the edge of Bandhavgarh National Park – 150 square miles of wilderness with the highest density of tigers in the world. When you’re not on one of your 2 daily game drives, we like that Samode has so many active offerings like trail running, nature walks, bike riding, a gym, or visits to the nearby village. We also find that Samode’s naturalist guide are excellent and the the experience here is more personal than at some other camps in and around Bandhavgarh.
12 suites are situated around the inviting main lodge which has a billiards room, library, two fireplaces, cozy nooks for reading, and a beautiful verandah. There is also a pool and spa at the property. The suites are huge with a large outdoor deck, a comfortable bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, an open-air bath court, and a spacious living room. Dining at Samode Safari Lodge can occur at the main restaurant, around the fireplace, poolside, on a picnic in the bush, or privately at your villa.
Bandhavgarh isn’t the easiest place to access. It’s a 4-5 hour drive from either Jabalpur or Khajuraho Airports (direct flights daily from New Delhi, Mumbai, and Varanasi) and a 5 hour drive from Kanha National Park if you’re looking for another safari experience. But once you’re at Samode Safari Camp, your time spent driving will be well worth it!
