Royal Chundu Zambezi Island Lodge

Island Lodge is the smaller and more private of the two lodges at Royal Chundu. Located on Katambura private island, the lodge is surrounded by the Zambezi River on both sides. The rooms at Island Lodge are much larger than River Lodge. This is a wonderful option for families as there are only four rooms. The rooms are also bigger so then can easily fit two children under 12 in one room. Each villa has a deck, a large open-air bath, a glass-walled double shower as well as air-conditioning, a fan, mosquito net and a king-size, extra-length bed.

As a river destination, activities are center around the water. Sunset cruises, birding, canoeing, and fishing are available.

We consider Royal Chundu Zambezi Island Lodge to be one of the best luxury safari lodges in Zambia.
