Nsolo Bush Camp
Norman Carr’s Nsolo Bushcamp in South Luangwa is a pleasant surprise. Excellent food and service, attention to detail, and comfortable simplicity makes this camp a winner. This is our definition of barefoot luxury.
Four reed and thatch chalets have comfortable beds, a lounge, open-air bathroom and private decks overlooking the riverbed and bush. It is rustic and appealing.
The camp is set away from the Luangwa River so we recommend combining your stay at Nsolo with a visit to a river camp to achieve a variety of scenery and game. The landscape differences can be striking. Nsolo is used mainly for walking safaris and the circuit includes Norman Carr’s Luwi and Kakuli Camps, but can also incorporate the luxury properties Chinzombo and Mchenja.
The area has few roads and the remoteness adds to the appeal of this particular camp. Nsolo is 1.5 hours from Kapani, 30 minutes from Luwi and operates between June and November.
