Machaba Camp
Located in the Khwai/Moremi area, this beautiful land camp has good game viewing and day and night game drives. We like the feeling of community and the warmth Machaba Camp exudes. Guests, guides, and management eat together and the boma gatherings are a happy, relaxed affair.
We were there when it first opened and were worried about a few lapses in service. We have since sent an EJ team member back and we were relieved to that they had made huge improvements. We were especially happy with the guides who are of a superior standard and highly knowledgeable.
Accommodation is in eight well-spaced tents and two enormous and beautifully designed family tents, one of which is wheelchair friendly. Proud of its light footprint, Machaba has installed the latest environmentally friendly technology including solar power and a grey-water recycling system.
Machaba is one of our favorite camps and it stands out for so many reasons – the super friendly team, delicious and beautifully presented food, its sophisticated simplicity, relaxing ambience, location and great game viewing. Machaba is good value for money for being in a prime game-viewing area.
