Little Vumbura

Little Vumbura is a quaint camp situated on its own island in the Okavango Delta. It is one of our favorite properties for its romantic feel and friendly, genuine staff.

The main areas are spacious and inviting, there’s a pool for cooling off in, and the lovely rooms have their own decks and open showers. One of the units has inter-connected rooms, making it ideal for a family.

Day and night game drives are conducted at Vumbura Plains and water activities include mokoro and motor boats excursions. The varied landscape, both riverine and savannah, provides travelers with a wide variety of animals and birds to admire in their natural habitats.

Little Vumbura is less sleek (and less expensive) than Vumbura Plains, but the wildlife at Little Vumbura is excellent and we love that it is still surrounded by water in the dry season. Even getting to and from the camp in a boat is fun! For these reasons, we think this is a great option, particularly in the off season (November to May).
