Lango Camp

Lango Camp, like Ngaga, is raised up into the surrounding gallery forest. The result is a combination of lush privacy and excellent views across the camp’s marshy bai – known for attracting elephant, buffalo, and flocks of African green pigeons and African grey parrots. Its six rooms enhance the camp’s seclusion and connect via floating wooden decks to the main area, comprised of sustainably harvested timber, bamboo and community-woven raffia palm roofing.

Lango is perfectly suited to explore the Lekoli and Mambili Rivers by motorboat, traditional pirogue, or even kayak. Alternately, stretch your legs and explore the streams and marshes on foot with your guide for a truly immersive experience. While you might catch primates like the Guereza colobus, and putty-nosed monkey, the landscape and variety of activities to get you moving are the highlight here.

Note: Lango is one of three camps – including Mboko and Ngaga – operating in conjunction within Odzala-Kokoua National Park. These camps are meant to be paired together for a single cohesive experience. Stylistically, the camps are similar (in some ways identical). They’re the best options for exploring Odzala, though service and amenities aren’t always up to high-luxury standards elsewhere in Africa – yet.
