Klein’s Camp
Klein’s Camp is located in the Northern Serengeti where the migration historically resides between July and October. Klein’s Camp is a permanent camp so during the months outside of the migration, the area quiets down but Big Five game-viewing remains good.
Ten stone and wood rondavels have private verandahs with views overlooking the world famous Serengeti. We like this feature but find the rest of the accommodation to be rather basic given its price tag. The rondavels are also quite a distance from the main areas and the pool, which should be considered for those with mobility issues.
The main advantage to Klein’s Camp is the fact that it is in its own private conservancy and therefore offers private day and night game drives and walking safaris. Unfortunately from our experience, the rooms, food, and service are average at best.
