Four Seasons Casa Medina
The Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogotá is unique—surrounded by contemporary counterparts in the city’s Rosales district, it’s where modern luxury meets old-school charm. Unlike many traditional Four Seasons properties, the 62-room Casa Medina has more of a boutique feel. Thirty-two of the rooms are in the original building. Yet like all Four Seasons, the service is impeccable.
The 1946 building was designed by Colombian artist-architect Santiago Medina Mejia. The architecture is beautiful—so much so that it has been officially recognized as a monument of cultural significance by the Colombian Ministry of Culture, with beamed ceilings, stone columns, hand-carved wooden furnishings and details, warm & rustic earth tones, and wood-burning fireplaces.
Rooms have it all: A coffee station, free WiFi, an electronic safe, robes and slippers, high-end toiletries, a walk-in shower, and their own wood-burning fireplace. Breakfast is delicious with eggs made any way you like, and an a la carte menu.
The on-site Spanish restaurant Castanyoles is set in an outdoor terrace and oozes historic cool with its living walls and old-world charm. The tapas bar, La Bodega, offers a daily selection of tapas and takeaways. It’s also just steps from the financial center, as well as many historical attractions including El Campin Coliseum. El Dorado International Airport is less than seven miles away.
