Abbey Manor
This gorgeous guesthouse overlooks Cape Town from its vantage point on Table Mountain, in the suburb of Oranjezicht. The views over the city and mountain are truly lovely.
Warm and friendly hospitality makes Abbey Manor a stunning option when staying in Cape Town and it is conveniently situated near Cape Town’s trendy restaurants, coffee bars, and clubs. It is also only a 15-minute drive from Table Mountain. You can walk to the city center, but you may want to return by cab as the return trip is uphill!
The guesthouse itself is luxurious and quiet, possibly better suited to those looking for tranquility who are happy to stay in the hotel when not out exploring Cape Town.
Cream and dark wood merges with classic, comfortable luxury throughout the interior. The guesthouse has plenty of spaces for you to relax in style, and the pool is a wonderful way to spend a hot summer day, but Abbey Manor doesn’t have a gym or fitness center. Also, note that the bathroom is not completely separate from the bedroom (though toilets are).
We believe Abbey Manor is well suited to an older, well-heeled clientele. It is centrally situated and offers attentive, accommodating service, classic comfort, and a homely atmosphere.
This is a year-round destination, with September and October being the best months to visit Cape Town due to the wildflowers and opportunities for whale watching.
